We would like to welcome you to the fantastic stay in the heart of Bieszczady mountains, to the fir log cabin transferred from the environs of Rzeszów and adapted for the recreation by the architect.
Our cottage is situated in the center of high mountains in the little village called Smerek. Each window has an outstanding view onto the Smerek and Wetlina high-mountain pastures as well as the woody mountain range, a boundary with Slovakia. Surrounding wildlife and flora will give you an unforgettable experience. We invite you for a splendid adventure, hiking on the flowery trails right onto the high-mountain pastures, autumn will welcome you with thousands of colored leaves and rut noises, winter with stunning, seemingly sleepy landscape covered with the snow caps.
Our cottage “Koliba Danusia” is situated on the slope close to the “Niedźwiedzi” stream and a red trail onto the Fereczata and the mountain range, a boundary with Slovakia.
Made from the fir logs, finished with the jute ropes inside and outside, bathroom from the old bricks, floor from the slices of wood of different diameters all these aspects create a cosy atmosphere and original looks bringing to mind a distant past with the comforts of the current times closed in the area of 85 m2.

The ground floor comprises:
- Spacious vestibule with the wardrobes,
- Kitchen niche with the cooker, fridge, coffee machine, dishwasher, a set of ceramic vessels as well as glass dishes,
- Dining room with a table and chairs and a cupboard,
- Living room with the fireplace, comfy sofas, TV set and the cupboard,
- Bathroom with the hot/cold water (shower, WC and a wash basin).
Whereas the first floor comprises:
- Bedroom with a marriage bed, antique furniture and original balcony of a loggia type,
- Second bedroom with two single beds,
- Wooden WC with wash basin.
The entire cottage has furniture of a historical value purchased on the antique markets, from the local people from the old cottages, renovated and adapted for our own cottage under a close eye of a designer and our owns.
This cottage undoubtedly has spirit and atmosphere, not only owing to its furniture, walls and floors finish but the decoration and sculptures from the local artists placed inside and outside the cabin as well. You will not find a similar cottage for sure in the entire Bieszczady mountains! This is a masterpiece!
Round the cottage, we have planted ornamental trees and bushes as well as fruit-trees, we have also a little rock-garden and a place for parking and for fireplace.
We also recommend our own 100% Bieszczady honey from the nearby apiary- the passion of the owner of the house.
“Koliba Danusia” is situated close to the Bieszczady bypass (200 m) and a cosy restaurant “Paweł Nie Całkiem Święty” where you can have a delicious meal, or do the shopping in the nearby shop.
Hiking

Biking
Besides the tourists trails, there are many bike routes for those who took bikes with them, or borrowed from the guest-houses.
Ski
In winter in Kalnica (2km away) one can ski on the 3 way slope, or use the racing run "Wetlina i okolice" 7 km long, which starts in Smerek.
Horse-riding
Horse-riding in the nearby stud on the specially prepared routes.
Rail
Narrow-gauge railway ride on a "Bieszczadzka Locomotive" in Cisna.
History
Hiking with the history (on the routes of Orthodox churches, icons, and old cemeteries).
Forest
Mushrooming, picking up blue and black berries, raspberries, cranberries in the neighboring forests.
Water
Marvelous base for Solina lake, "Sine Wiry" reserve and Bieszczady National Park.
Music
Each August a fantastic "Bieszczadzkie Anioły" event in Dołżyca near Cisna.
